Pallet Racking

ADJUSTABLE PALLET RACKING

The most convenient and widely used pallet storage system, with direct access to all pallets or unit loads. Designed for flexibility and speed of product turnaround.
With around 30-40% of the floor space utilised APR is not the most practical way of storing pallets but due to the ease of loading and unloading it is by far the most common.
Either a conventional counterbalance truck or a reach truck may be used to service this racking providing it is able to cope with the maximum lift height of the top level.
APR consists of vertical upright frames and horizontal beams to form a strong load bearing structure but there are also a number of optional items that can be fitted to APR to any specific requirements Such as drum or coil cradles ,chipboard or steel decking , pallet support or fork entry bars to name a few.

OVERVIEW OF FEATURES
- Good stock variability
- No need for special handling equipment
- Fast stock rotation and selection
- Purpose designed to suit any application

DRIVE-IN RACKING

Drive-in racking consists of continuous blocks of storage providing high quantity of pallets in the minimum amount of floorspace and also provides safe, stable storage for loads not requiring 100% selectivity. Pallets are stored on self-aligning rails on a first in last out basis. Drive-in racking can be made to suit any pallet sizes and weights and can be used with a conventional counterbalance forktruck.
Drive-in pallet racking consists of a series of parallel rows of fabricated frames connected at the top. Pallets are stacked onto horizontal beams supported by cantilevered arms protruding from the frames.
The palletized loads are stacked and retrieved by a fork lift truck which enters the lanes between adjacent rows of frames. The top ties add stability to the system which also incorporates a system of plan bracing and all systems are custom designed to suit individual requirements.

OVERVIEW OF FEATURES
- High Density Pallet Storage.
- Purpose designed to suit most pallets.
- Suitable for storage of bulk products.
- No need for special forktruck

DOUBLE DEEP RACKING

This is a form of adjustable pallet racking which is set up to accommodate up to four pallets deep in a double entry rack. DDR is set up exactly the same as APR but doubled up to utilise more of the floor space, it achieves this by being serviced with a special reach truck with extendable forks , although the truck will cost more than a standard one it is strongly evident that you will be compensated by the extra pallets spaces provided .This type of installation is more commanly used if 100% product selectivity isnt required as the back pallet can only be removed if the front one is also removed.

OVERVIEW OF FEATURES

- Good space utilisation
- Addaptable for most pallets
- Good stock rotation to front pallets

NARROW AISLE RACKING

Because of the reduction in the aisle width (nearly half that of APR) this system creates a dramatic effect of the number of pallets that can be stored. But also with the technology improving for the handling equipment it is also means that these systems can be suited to go up to a height of up to 25m. Also add that to the fact that you have access to every pallet and you be able to understand why narrow aisle systems are increasingly popular.

OVERVIEW OF FEATURES

- Good selectivity
- Extremely high density of pallets
- Purpose designed to suit most applications
